| Details[2] | CVD is the processing method of forming a film with multilayer, fine, uniform thickness and adhesion. In order to form the film, mixed gases are made to contact with the materials in a high temperature furnace of about 1000 ℃, which causes chemical reaction on those surface. The film is composed of titanium carbide (TiC), chitsuka titanium (TiN) and titanium carbide [Ti (C,N)]. It is also possible to make a single layer (TiC). is able to be chosen. By this treatment, a metal surface hardens and it improves wear resistance, heat resistance and corrosion resistance. |
